Liberation of Fiji Party Registered, Bringing Total Political Parties to 11
The Liberation of Fiji Party (LFP) has been officially registered as a political party, bringing the total number of registered political parties in Fiji to 11.
Registrar of Political Parties Ana Mataiciwa approved the LFP’s registration under the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and Disclosures) Act 2013.
The Registrar confirmed the party had met all legal requirements for registration under the Act.
The LFP resubmitted its application on July 20, 2026, after its initial application was not approved on July 3.
As a newly registered political party, the LFP is required to comply with all statutory obligations under the Act, including submitting the relevant declarations and disclosures within the prescribed timelines.
The registration comes as political parties continue to position themselves ahead of Fiji’s next general election.
With the LFP now registered, the number of political parties officially registered in Fiji stands at 11.
