Leave granted for former S-G to apply for judicial review

The High Court at Suva has granted former Solicitor General Sharvada Sharma leave to apply for judicial review against his termination on allegations of misconduct.

He was terminated on November 10, 2021 following allegations of misconduct by (suspended) Supervisor of Elections (SOE) Mohammed Saneem.

Mr Sharma was initially suspended without pay on September 20, 2021.

The respondents in the matter were ordered to pay $5000 in costs in 21 days.
