LAUCALA Island maybe the second most expensive resort on earth and is the most amazing destination in Fiji.
According to travel website Theluxtraveller.com it is also possibly the world’s most amazing destination.
Laucala is a private island and it belongs to Dietrich Mateschitz, the owner of Red Bull.
“He bought it in 2003 and decided to turn the island into a resort or holiday home for himself and his celebrity friends,” the website said.
“The price he paid to buy and develop the island cost about $US40million ($F85.09m).
“The private island can only be accessed by a private jet and the price per night for accommodation stands at $US5000 ($F10,635) per night.”
Meanwhile the website assessed the hotel and gave the hotel a total of 98 points out of 100 for its services and facilities.
