Kinoya home partially destroyed in a fire while Nadi farm house completely destroyed

A home in Kinoya was partially destroyed in a fire before midday today while a farm house in Nadi was completely destroyed in a fire yesterday.

According to Police the fire at the Nadi farm house which belonged to a 39-year-old woman allegedly spread from a nearby sugar cane field.

Police say the incident occurred at Naboutini, Sabeto and the estimated cost of damage is around $7,000.

Meanwhile occupants of the home at Mangu Maharaj Place, Kinoya managed to escape unharmed.

Joint investigations with the National Fire Authority continue.
