Lautoka FC head coach Babs Khan says their fans and supporters can expect a more improved Lautoka side when they host Rewa for their second OFC Champions League Playoffs at Churchill Park tomorrow.
The side held the Delta Tigers to a nil-all draw in their first match at Ratu Cakobau Park, with Rewa dominating much of the match.
“You can expect a better Lautoka side on Sunday when we play Rewa again,” he said.
“I think we were very lucky in our first game, as Rewa had many opportunities to score but were unable to.
“We know what areas we need to work on, and we will go over them all together as a team before Sunday.”
The showdown is expected to kick start at 3.30pm tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, Khan is calling out to all hometown fans to come out in numbers tomorrow as the side prepares to run out against Rewa.
“Playing at home will be a huge advantage for us, so we are calling out to all our fans and supporters to please come out in numbers and cheer on the boys.”
The two sides will be battling for a spot in representing Fiji in the OFC Men’s Champions League which will be held in Tahiti in May.
The winner of the tie is set to be placed in Group A of the OFC Men’s Champions League, alongside the winners of the respective National Playoffs from Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand.
The second leg match kicks off at 3pm.
