KADAVU women’s team put on a dominant performance in their 40-18 victory over Macuata in the Royal Tea Ranadi semifinal competition at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka yesterday.

Team manager Paulina Ratuwara credited the team’s success to the strength given by the almighty from the start to the finish of the match.

“After facing tough competition from Macuata, our team showed incredible dedication and hard work on the field,” said Ratuwara.

“Our training sessions really paid off, and we were able to overcome all challenges to come out on top.

“As we look forward to the final against Cakaudrove, we understand the importance of learning from our mistakes and coming back stronger,” she added.

“We won’t be underestimating our opponents, and we are fully prepared to give it our all to secure victory.

“I want to express my gratitude to all the fans and supporters of Kadavu rugby, especially the Vanua, for their unwavering support.

“We promise to continue fighting for success in the finals and make our community proud.”

Meanwhile, Cakaudrove secured a 27-22 win over Vatukoula.
