Kadavu focused on teamwork

KADAVU Women’s rugby trainer Joeli Neiliko says believing in themselves and working together has been the key message to his players as they continue their Subrail Marama Championship campaign.

“Our message in camp is to believe in ourselves and teamwork and always play for each other.

“Trust each other,” Neiliko said.

Kadavu is currently seventh on the Subrail Marama Championship points table after 10 rounds, with 29 points from five wins and five losses.

Neiliko said the team had been working on building trust among the players and maintaining a strong team culture as the competition progresses.

Kadavu has scored 262 points and conceded 216, with seven bonus points and two bonus-loss points.

Suva leads the competition with 45 points, followed by Nadi on 43, Nasinu on 38, Namosi on 37 and Tailevu on 36.

Macuata is sixth on 30 points, while Naitasiri and Nadroga are level on 25 points.

Ba is 10th on 19 points, followed by Lautoka on nine and Rewa on two.

Neiliko said Kadavu would continue to rely on its teamwork and belief as the side looks to finish the competition strongly.
