Bodybuilding sensation Jamie Lee Mitchell recently made history by becoming the first Fijian athlete to win first place in the novice wellness, Jay Cutler Desert Classic competition in Las Vegas.
Not only did she achieve this feat, but her husband, Jordan Pillay, also took home the bronze medal in the classic physique open class B category, adding to their impressive accomplishments.
Mitchell expressed her excitement at being the first Fijian woman to compete in the show.
“To be the first Fijian women to compete at the show was very exciting, I didn’t know what athletes were also prepping for the competition but one thing I made sure to do is give 100 per cent commitment and dedication in my workouts and diet,” said Mitchell.
“All our sacrifice has been worth it, I’m honoured to have been placed first and receive gold, all thanks to the hardworking team behind us Shop & Save, FMF, friends and family.”
Following their success in Las Vegas, the couples have wasted no time in jumping into their off season plan.
“We have immediately jumped into our off season plan that has been designed and structured based on the Las Vegas judges feedback, Steve Weinberger and Jay Cutler themselves, we are excited to see how this plan changes our physique.”
