UNIVERSITY of the South Pacific students at the Lautoka campus who have been affected by Severe TC Winston can access assistance through their student association.
Nitin Singh, association president, said of the 1300 students enrolled in USP’s Sugar Centre, about 700 could be facing issues.
“In this regard, we have allocated $15,000 towards assisting these students,” he said. However, I would like to emphasise that we will only be helping private students under this scheme.”
Mr Singh said $12,000 was set aside for fee assistance and $3000 for travel allowances.
“So far 10 students have sought aid from us and we are urging all private students faced with issues to contact the student association on 9276533 or ltk_uspsa@usp.ac.fj.”
