Local hardware company R C Manubhai & Co Pte Ltd has opened a new branch in Navua, bringing the total number of branches it has Fiji wide to 12.

Located on the main highway, just before the Navua Bridge, the new branch will cater for Navua and nearby communities.

R C Manubhai chief executive officer Uppiliappan Gopalan said the company decided to set up shop in the area to address the demand and gap that’s there.

“From a strategic perspective, we feel that there is a lot of potential for the hardware business, and we also feel that whole development is happening in the Queens Rd, particularly the area that is intercepted between Navua and Pacific Harbour,” Mr Gopalan said.

“We see a lot of footprint in terms of penetrating the products and we also feel that there is a demand and there is a gap. We are the leading hardware supplier in Fiji, and the most trusted name and therefore we consciously decided, in case we are going to have a footprint over here, that will be up to the value proposition of RC Manubhai as a business.

“For us it is our customer that is very important. We are here because of them, and we would like to enhance our value proposition in terms of delivering the best of what they want at an affordable price. Quality is non-negotiable tool at RC Manubhai and therefore I welcome all the customers and it is my assurance that we will deliver the best and we will deliver better than the best.”

An expansion is being constructed next to the hardware shop itself and a warehouse is also being constructed on the adjourning property.
