NASINU Gospel Primary School and Delainamasi Government School had plenty to cheer about after striking gold at the Nasinu Zone Primary Schools Athletics Meet, which wrapped up at the HFC Bank Stadium yesterday.
Nasinu Gospel sprinted to the boys’ division title with 18 gold, eight silver and 15 bronze, while Delainamasi stole the spotlight in the girls’ division with 16 gold, nine silver and eight bronze.
Zone president Josaia Volavola said the two-day meet was packed with excitement as 654 students from five schools showcasing their talents.
“We’ve seen a really vibrant atmosphere,” Volavola said, praising the fantastic support from schools and their communities.
He thanked everyone who helped make the meet a success and hoped the same energy and enthusiasm would carry into future athletics competitions.
