MANY things have been said about our flag and the decisions departed.
Some like the change and vice versa not only in Parliament but in the community as well.
Do we like to change our personal lives?
If you now live a life of poverty certainly you want to change into a life of prosperity, yes.
Everyone will agree on that.
There are certain things that have damaged the current flag.
Three coups, the struggle of the Indians of Fijian descent who laboured in the cane fields and God knows what the British did.
I believe the British for that matter have caused damage compared with the good things. Thus, change is needed.
I believe only four countries have the Union Jack including Fiji.
We cannot change the future because we are not there yet but we can change the past because we have gone past time.
Time is the most important factor for everything in this world.
The time to eat and the time to sleep. The time to be born and the time to die. And that includes plants and animals.
There is always a time for change. When a baby is born, time is a factor that determines his or her growth.
We speak about change and yet we do not change.
When I was a child I walked like a child.
I talked like a child and I thought like a child but when I became a man I put childish ways behind me. That’s change.
Change to a new flag can be a change to a new Fiji. Fiji is our home. Having some place to go is home.
Having someone to love is family and having them both is a blessing.
May God bless our beloved nation.
