Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli is expected to add a number of 15s players to his squad before the Paris Olympics.

Speaking after the completion of the Hong Kong 7s a fortnight ago, Fuli said a number of players had shown their interest to represent Fiji in France.

“We have our squad members who are playing for the Drua,” said Fuli.

“They have declared their interest and we have already registered them in the list at FASANOC.”

Apart from players playing for the Fijiana Drua, a few overseas based players are also expected to join Fuli’s brigade.

“We also have players who are based in New Zealand and Australia,” he said.

The team will get together after the Singapore tournament.

“It is post Singapore that we need to assemble all these players and select the players who will play in Madrid and an upcoming tournament in Brisbane, a mirror of an Oceania format, before we head to Paris.”

Fijiana finished fifth in Hong Kong defeating Canada 19-15 in their playoff match.

Fiji lost out to USA in the cup quarter-finals of the event.
