AFTER recording their first ever historic win in the Rugby League World Cup the Vodafone Fiji Bulikula are confident they could go all the way and win the tournament.

Assistant coach Tony Herman believes the team has a special group of players capable of creating history in their first ever world cup campaign.

“We have an amazing group of girls they work really hard for one another, and we came into this campaign knowing that we had a special group, and you know we thought we played some good footy against the number two in the world.”

Their recent victory over the Papua New Guinea Santos Orchids and taking world number two New Zealand to the wire, the side needs a win against France this week to guarantee its semi-finals spot.

“Yes, we think so. We think we can challenge,” coach Herman said confidently.

“So, look we need to win next week it a big game for us and to qualify for a semi-final and hopefully go further it would be an amazing moment for Fiji Bulikula and we are all just excited to be part of it.”

The Bulikula’s are overwhelming favourites against France this Saturday October 31, at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast, Australia.
