The family of Fijian Drua hooker Zuriel Togiatama hosted a welcome feast for him in Caubati, Nasinu yesterday morning.
Family members said they were overwhelmed to receive and spend time with him.
Togiatama was born in New Zealand and has blood ties to the Buadromo family of Mavana, Vanuabalavu and the Vulawalu family of Naroi on Moala, Lau.
The family hosted the Counties Manukau player to morning tea which was filled with fun and excitement.
His cousin, Ana Rokomokoti said Togiatama was an inspiration to the family and showed grace and humility.
“The Buadromo family has offered their prayers, love and blessings for his future with his rugby career,” she said.
Togiatama is the son of Samantha Peckham and Warren Togiatama.
He is the grandson of Sagale Buadromo and Sam Pekham.
He also has close maternal links to Naroi (Vulawalu family – Nayavutoka), Maola, Lau.
