THE family of the man whose body was found at his home on Lautoka’s Vomo St last Thursday is still waiting for the result of a Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test conducted on him.

Speaking to this newspaper last week on condition of anonymity, a family member said the former hotel worker had been sick.

“His body was found on Thursday last week,” the family member said.

“Prior to that he was in hospital and he had bleeding ulcers.

“We are still waiting for the postmortem results and DNA and release of the body so we can conduct the burial.”

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the condition of the victim’s body was in such a poor state that police needed to conduct tests to verify his identity before conducting a postmortem examination.
