Easter is a time to embrace the power of the passion, says Catholic Archbishop Peter Chong.

He said the passion comes from a Latin word ‘pasio’ which is passive.

“For Jesus life we talk about Jesus entering into his passion beginning with Holy Thursday which is the last thing he did celebrating the last supper meal,” Archbishop Chong said.

“And then he enters into his passion, he carried his cross then nailed to the cross and at some points in the judgement he does not respond.

“He becomes silent, he becomes passive.”
