The Vodafone Fijiana XV is set to embark on a seven-week training block in preparation for the WXV3 tournament in Dubai.

The tournament serves as a key build-up to the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2025.

After the 5-64 loss to the Wallaroos, the team took a well-deserved break but is now ready for camp. The seven-week training blocks will be pivotal for their success in WXV3 and laying a solid foundation for the upcoming world cup.

So far, Fijiana has secured four impressive wins to qualify for both the Rugby World Cup and WXV3, achieving a commendable 14th place in the World Rugby rankings.

“The team has shown tremendous growth and resilience, and we are eager to see how we measure up against some of the bigger nations in the lead-up to the tournament. We are looking forward to WXV3 as a key part of our RWC 2025 preparations,” said Fiji Rugby Women’s high performance manager Alana Thomas.

The Mosese Rauluni-coached side will line up against Hong Kong China in its first match on September 28. They face Pacific rivals Samoa in their second match on October 5 and Spain on October 12.

The players are on a personal training schedule before DTE begins on July 22 in Nadi.
