Nadi man and Fijian Drua player Tuidraki Samusamuvodre says it will be a proud moment to be “playing in front of our people”.

“It will be a proud moment for me to don the Drua jersey for the first time in Nadi,” Samusamuvodre said in a statement.

“The feeling will be like no other playing in front of our people. We have our regular season matches in Lautoka and Suva so it’s really good that we’re able to bring this trial to Nadi.

“We are really looking forward to seeing a full Prince Charles Park tomorrow as the boys take on the Rebels in this important trial.”

Members of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua who have links to Nadi are excited about the opportunity to feature in front of their family and friends in their hometown.

They include captain Ratu Meli Derenalagi, Tuidraki Samusamuvodre, Kitione Salawa, Kitione Taliga, Livai Natave, and Vilive Miramira.

Meanwhile the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has announced its run-on squad for the first pre-season trial match tomorrow at Prince Charles Park in Nadi at 3pm. The trial match against the Melbourne Rebels will be played into four quarters.
