The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua side must be mentally ready if it is to get its first away win of the season against the Western Force in Super Rugby Pacific this Saturday. Head coach Mick Byrne, who during an interview from Perth yesterday, said training had been good in preparations for the match against the Force.

“We know we are up against Force in Perth with a home advantage, we must be mentally ready, and we had a good physical training today and the boys are really focusing on that,” said Byrne.

“We must be mentally ready this Saturday, and keep our players relaxed and focused on the job.”

He said his team did not make a good start against the Brumbies last week and that was something they needed to work on.

“Against the Brumbies, playing against them we gave them 14 points start, we were chasing down the 14 points which is tough. The Brumbies are the best Australian team for a few years now.

“But we dominated as our set pieces and we ran over and through them a couple of times. I was pleased with how we went in that game.”

The Drua takes on the Force at 11.55pm at HBF Park in Perth.
