There’s a lot of belief in the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua camp that the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women can retain its Super W title.
This is according to prop Livai Natave as the franchise looks forward to today’s Super W final between the Drua women and Waratahs.
“To our women warriors, we wish you all the best in the final, you all are fighters and we believe in you,” he said.
The Drua women have made the Super W final for the third year in a row and this is an inspiration even to the men.
“There’s not an inch of doubt in us that you can come back with the honour and glory as champions of Super W and you’ll return home with your trophy,” Natave added.
Fijian Drua captain Meli Derenalagi echoed similar sentiments.
“We your brothers stand ready to support you all the way in the final tomorrow (today). We’ve seen you win that title twice in a row and we believe you can make it for the third time,” he said.
Fijian Drua head of commercial and marketing Shae Hussein is calling on all Fijians to get behind our Drua women.
“We’re calling on everyone in Fiji to support our amazing Drua Women by watching the match live on free to air TV.
“It will be a wonderful occasion. We go into our third Super Rugby Women grand final as underdogs, so it will be fantastic for our players to know that the while country is watching and cheering them on. Let’s make the grand final the most viewed event on TV this year,” he said.
The Drua W will face the Waratahs in the 2024 grand-final today at 4pm at Ballymore Stadium in Brisbane.
