The Tanoa Hotel Group held a special appreciation dinner for the Fijian Drua women’s team at the Tanoa International Hotel on Monday, to recognise their achievements during the 2024 Super W season.
“We express our sincere gratitude to the Fijian Drua Women’s team and are immensely proud of each and everyone of you for you achievement this season,” Tanoa Plaza Hotel, Suva general manager Mere Rakoroi said.
She said the appreciation dinner provided them an opportunity to express their gratitude and appreciation to the players, coaches, staff members and those who have worked tirelessly towards the success of the Drua Women’s team.
“Your positive attitude and hard work inspire the entire hotel group and we thank you for an outstanding contribution.”
Fijian Drua Women head coach Mosese Rauluni acknowledged the hotel group for their sponsorship and providing accommodation for the girls during the season.
“I would like to thank the Drua management and staff for being there for the girls throughout the season.
“Although we fell short at the end but we will come back stronger,” added Rauluni.
The Drua women’s side lost the Buildcorp Super Rugby Women’s grand final after losing to Waratahs 50-14 last month.
