The Sugar Industry Tribunal has ordered the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) to end crushing at Lautoka Mill on October 25 and Labasa Mill on November 6.
Tribunal registrar Timothy Brown said Tribunal chairman Semi Leweniqila issued the orders after consulting the chief executives of the Sugar Cane Growers Council and FSC.
Lautoka Mill will end its 2026 crushing season on Sunday, October 25, while Labasa Mill will cease crushing on Friday, November 6.
The Tribunal has urged growers and gangs supplying Lautoka Mill to make every effort to harvest all remaining cane and deliver it to the mill by Saturday, October 24.
Growers and gangs supplying Labasa Mill have been asked to complete harvesting and deliver all cane by Thursday, November 5.
The orders set the final dates for cane delivery ahead of the closure of the two mills for the 2026 season.
