G.M.R Muhammad & Sons (PTY) Ltd was established on the 1st of August 1996.
Initially, the business was a supermarket, which was created in 1961. The original store sold mainly clothing, food items as well as household items such as cutlery, crockery and many more!
In 1986 the supermarket grew to include a hardware division.
This was the beginning of what G.M.R Muhammad & Sons (PTY) Ltd has become today. From a humble department within a supermarket, the hardware business was established and grown. The hardware business began with the family business.
In 1999, the business became solely involved in the hardware business, outsourcing its supermarket division to a local supermarket chain.
The company imports the quality products from a variety of countries. These countries include Malaysia, UK, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Brazil, Singapore, Australia, New-Zealand.
All products have a varied range of brands to meet the needs & budgets of the customer. Each new product imported and sold is tested by the GMR team to meet a minimum standard.
G.M.R exports to countries throughout the South Pacific including: Tuvalu, Kiribati, Wallis & Futuna, Tonga, Samoa. Shipments are sent depending on the flexibility of shipping routes and schedules. We have the ability to send emergency orders through airfreight when the need arises.
All genuine complaints are dealt with swiftly and a refund or replacement is given. We ensure that every customer gets what they pay for. Over the counter purchases can be refunded or replaced (within reason) provided they return the items with the receipt.
The product catalogue includes agricultural, building, electrical, car, spare parts and accessories, paints, plumbing, tools, timber and hardware products!
The companys’ vision is to be the leading wholesaler, exporter and retailer in the wider pacific market.
