The people of Naqarani in Noco, Rewa raised $95,591.46 during their annual fundraising held at Kinoya Village, bringing together members of the community from Fiji and abroad.

The funds were raised by three yavusa (tribal clans), with Yavusa Naterumai raising $40,583.30, Yavusa Vunivatu contributing $34,563.30 and Yavusa Bureduguvaki raising $20,000.

The money will go towards development projects in Naqarani, including upgrades to existing facilities to improve community resources.

Beyond fundraising, the gathering provided an opportunity for the Naqarani villagers to reconnect, strengthen relationships and celebrate their shared heritage through music, dancing and fellowship.
