Rusiate Tudravu is urging members of the public with information about criminal networks to come forward and assist police investigations.

Speaking during a press conference today, Mr Tudravu said investigations into allegations and individuals named on social media were ongoing, with police already pursuing several cases.

“To understand the networks and how we introduce such a large scale of issues that are in place takes time,” he said.

“We have taken in almost everyone that is named in social media. We have cases against them. There’s everything that is in place.”

Mr Tudravu said police continued to gather intelligence and investigate information available to authorities, but encouraged people with additional knowledge to formally report it.

“Unless people have other kingpins of what they are saying, which is not known to us, they should come and tell us or inform us,” he said.

“But as of now, we are doing well.”

The Commissioner’s comments come amid growing public discussion online surrounding allegations involving criminal activity and security operations.
