The message of faith reached beyond the church stage when members of the World Harvest Centre Choir visited 30 residents of Father Law Home in Lami on Saturday morning.
The visit marked the choir’s first Light Beyond the Stage outreach, an initiative aimed at sharing God’s love through fellowship, kindness and music.
Emeline Toroca, a member of the Christian Mission Fellowship International’s World Harvest Centre Choir, said the outreach reflected the group’s belief that ministry extended beyond singing before an audience.
“This is part of our Light Beyond the Stage outreach,” she said.
“We believe that singing, our ministry is not just about singing on the stage, but it is about sharing.
“Going out and sharing the love of God, the love of Christ.”
Ms Toroca said the choir was grateful for the opportunity to fellowship with the residents and share its message through music.
“Our fellowship, the kindness and the graciousness that we brought here this morning. That is the heart behind the Light Beyond the Stage outreach of our World Harvest Centre Choir this morning,” she added.
She said the initiative was about taking the message of faith into communities, particularly to people in need.
“Singing is not just, fellowship is not just about singing on the stage, ministry. But one thing that we’ve come up with is to go out and to share the love of God, especially the light of God to those who are in need in our communities.”
The visit offered the residents an opportunity to enjoy music and fellowship, as the choir put its message of service and compassion into action.
