Questions remain. That is the view of Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry, who said the High Court may have struck down the Commission of Inquiry report into Barbara Malimali’s FICAC appointment, but it has not erased the questions that triggered the inquiry.
He backs Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s appeal, saying concerns over the appointment, alleged improper influence and the integrity of public institutions remain unresolved and key legal findings must now face scrutiny in a higher court.
