Denarau Golf Club manager Amitesh Chandra has been elected as the new Golf Fiji president.
Chandra was elected at the Golf Fiji annual general meeting held at the Fiji Golf Club early this month.
Chandra is enthusiastic about his new role and aims to collaborate with affiliated clubs to promote and enhance the sport of golf at all levels.
One of Chandra’s key objectives is to foster a strong relationship with the Fiji PGA to establish a competitive golf calendar that caters to players of all skill levels.
Chandra aims to relook and redesign a five-year mission and vision plan for Golf Fiji.
In his new executive team, James Krishna from Lautoka Golf Club assumes the role of treasurer, Mark Hinton from Nadi Airport retains his position as vice president, and Praneel Chandra of Fiji Golf Club remains as secretary.
