Central College is aiming to win three gold medals during this year’s Coca-Cola Games.

The school held their inter-house athletics meet at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday, where students showcased their talents and competitive skills on the tracks and fields, gearing up for the Lautoka Zone and national finals.

School head of PEMAC department Avinesh Chand expressed the school’s ambition to send 80-100 athletes to the Lautoka Zone and 30 athletes to the Coca-Cola Games.

“Last year at the Coke Games we won one gold and one bronze medal and this year our aim is to win three gold medals. In the Lautoka Zone we finished second in the boys and third in the girls, but we want to beat these results this year.

“We have a plan in place and our target this year for the zonal meet is to finish second in both divisions,” Chand said.

The lautoka Zone will be held on April 5-6. The nationals is on May 2-4.
