A 34-year-old businesswoman, Manisha Chandra has invested about $100,000 into “Timeless Eats,” a multi-cuisine restaurant located on Waidradra Road in Navua.

The newly opened restaurant operates from 7:30 am to 9pm daily and has created five new jobs for the local community including customer service, kitchen hands, cooks and cleaning staff.

The mother of two told this newspaper that she chose the Waidradra location due to its high economic potential and high accessibility for both residents and traveling visitors.

She said Timeless Eats featured various menus to cater to different tastes which included smoothies, milkshakes and pastries, Chinese dishes, Indian cuisine, fast food and dedicated vegetarian options.

Ms Chandra said considering the high cost of living, prices have been kept competitive and affordable starting from $8 and above.

She said setting up the interior of the restaurant, looking for suppliers and family time with her kids were some of the challenges which she encountered.

“Managing the budget and looking after the quality products and supplies, recruiting and training my staff and delays in setting up the restaurant were some of the challenges,” she said.

However, she credited her achievement to her husband who she said has been her greatest motivation.

She added that the inspiration behind the name Timeless Eats is for it to be a place where people created lasting memories over food that never goes out of fashion and where every meal is made to be remembered.

Ms Chandra encouraged all women to take up the opportunity and fulfill their dreams.

“Women have the opportunity to get confidence and achieve their dreams and goals. Even if they are not educated, they can still achieve what they dream for and become powerful leaders to motivate other women, strengthen families and give motivation to other ladies in their community,” she said.

Timeless Eats will be expanding its menu to include pizzas and special combo meals based directly on customer suggestions.
