Businesses welcome new eatery

THE business community of Nadi has joined other sectors in welcoming the opening of a new Burger King outlet in Martintar.

Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president, Dr Ram Raju, said the first domestic Burger King outlet added another attraction to the Jet Set Town for residents and visitors alike.

“Being an international renowned brand name, notably the fastest growing quick service restaurant in the world, Burger King has a lot to offer to the Fijian economy,” he said.

“The $6.5 million outlet has obviously brightened the outlook of our Queens Highway and NCCI urges all its members and stakeholders to take full advantage of the mouth-watering menu of Burger King.”

He said the new franchise business also came at an opportune time as Nadi would soon be declared the country’s third city.

“As we move on to be declared a city next year, Nadi is definitely ready to take the lead role as we are undoubtedly the engine room of the Fijian economy.

“We remain the fastest growing township in the entire South Pacific and definitely there seems to be no looking back for now and for the future.”

He said the industry was looking forward to the growth of the franchise within the local market.

“I wish to congratulate Motibhai Group on yet another milestone achievement for their company and the confidence in the Fijian economy which has seen millions of dollars’ worth of investment come our way.

“I look forward to the expansion of Burger King around the country with great interest.”
