A three-year-old child died in Sigatoka yesterday after he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old woman.
According to police, the toddler from Kulukulu was crossing a road with his grandmother in Sigatoka Town when he was struck by the vehicle. He was transferred to the Sigatoka Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The 38-year-old driver was taken into police custody.
Investigations continue.
