The South Pacific Boxing Promotion promises to be an exciting one, as six international boxers will be travelling to competeat Prince Charles Park in Nadi on May 18.
Despite the high cost of bringing in these boxers, promoter Freddy Chand is committed to providing quality fights for local boxers and fans.
“The competition will see a strong lineup of matches, including a special exhibition bout featuring 14-year-old Mevin Chand,” Chand said.
“The event is expected to draw a large crowd, and boxing enthusiasts are encouraged to come out and show their support.”
The overseas boxers scheduled to compete include Krishna Mudaliar from Australia, who will face Joseva Ravudi in the super middleweight division, Leonel Raviera from Mexico taking on Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana in the middleweight division.
Ratu Dawai from New Zealand is challenging Isikeli Senidoko in the cruiserweight division, while King Davidson from Australia will compete against Kolinio Lavelolo.
Fiji’s welterweight champion Winston Hill takes on Australia’s Jyl Wright for the IBO Asia Pacific title, and Puna Rasaubale faces Jonasa Kavila in the heavyweight division.
“The event promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent and sportsmanship, and fans can come and witness the action-packed bouts.”
