In a bid to improve the environment and education space for students of Coloi-Naivakacere Primary School in Vatukarasa, Tailevu, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) gave $11,700 worth of school furniture.
Headteacher Pauliasi Taura said the gifts would create a better learning environment for students.
“We believe in the importance of education,” Mr Taura said.
KOICA Fiji and Pacific office deputy country director Seoyeun Bang said education was not solely confined to textbooks.
“It extends to the spaces we occupy,” she said.
KOICA Fiji office said they hoped the assistance would signify their commitment to holistic education “and recognises the importance of creating a conducive environment”.
The school had also been assisted through the Gov4Res project in 2021, which was a collaboration with KOICA, UNDP, and other donor organisation for the development of a road (pathway) for Coloi Naivakacere Primary School.
