Business Assistance Fiji (BAF) has appointed Nitika Singh as its general manager.
Ms Singh brings extensive experience in finance, corporate management, and MSME support, having served in various leadership roles within the organisation, including as acting general manager since March 2025.
She steps into the role following a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process overseen by the BAF Board.
According to the company, her proven track record in strengthening internal systems, driving program delivery, and engaging with key Government and private sector partners positions her well to lead BAF into its next phase of growth.
BAF board chairperson Dr Nur Bano Ali welcomed the appointment saying it had come at a critical time for MSMEs in the country.
“Her deep understanding of the sector and proven leadership within BAF will help us scale up our support to entrepreneurs, strengthen our partnerships with Government and development partners, and ensure that more MSMEs can access the advice, tools and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute to Fiji’s economic growth,” Dr Ali said in a statement.
She said under Ms Singh’s leadership, BAF would continue to strengthen its partnerships with Government, development partners and financial institutions to expand the reach and impact of its services.
She added the organisation would place particular emphasis on fostering resilient and innovative MSMEs that could adapt to changing market conditions, leverage digital tools, and contribute to a more diversified and sustainable Fijian economy.
Dr Ali said the BAF board was confident that Ms Singh’s strategic vision, technical expertise, and commitment to MSME development would further enhance the organisation’s contribution to Fiji’s economic growth and support the Government’s broader agenda for private sector–led development.
Ms Singh’s new role came into effect on Thursday, May 28.
