TAKING the loss on the chin and heading home to face the Western Force this week is high on the list for the McDonald’s Fiji Drua Women, following their 29-42 loss to the Waratahs Women on Saturday.

The clash occurred in round one of the Super W competition and got the Drua Women off to a rocky start for the season.

Head coach Mike Legge stressed there was a lot that needed to be addressed.

“We’ve all got to take this loss on the chin and just get home and then start preparing for the (Western) Force,” Legge said after the match.

Led by captain Bitila Tawake, the side fought a determined match where they trailed 17-28 at half-time but added 12 more points to extend their end of the scoresheet.

Legge added being owned at the collision and around the field in the match cost them heavily.

“Pretty disappointed to be honest; that’s why the ‘Tahs are the champs,” he pointed out.

“We got owned at the collision and in and around the field so it’s a big lesson for us.

“But we’ll go home, we’ll regroup, we’ll review and then get ready for the Force.”

The Drua Women meet the Western Force at Churchill Park in Lautoka this Saturday in round two of the competition.
