DAYALS Steels Ba FC and Rewa FC opened their 2026 Extra Battle of the Giants campaigns with victories at 4R Stadium, Govind Park, on Friday night.
Ba edged Nadi 1-0, with Solomon Islands striker John Orobulu scoring the decisive goal to secure three valuable points for the Men in Black.
Playing in front of their home crowd, Ba dominated the first half with a strong attacking display and disciplined defence. Orobulu eventually found the breakthrough, scoring the only goal of the match.
Nadi showed more urgency in the second half and created opportunities, but the Jet Set side could not find the finishing touch to level the score.
In the other Group B match, Rewa defeated Lautoka 2-0 to also open its campaign with three points.
