The Ba Magistrates Court has convicted a man for exposing himself to his neighbour, while also finding him guilty of breaching his bail conditions.
The man was found guilty of one count of Indecently Annoying any Person and one count of Breach of Bail Condition. However, he was acquitted of a second count of breaching bail.
The court heard that on April 24 in Ba, the man exposed himself to his neighbour, whom he had known for nine years, while she was walking to the junction to catch a bus.
Delivering the judgment, Magistrate Namrata Mishra found the victim’s recognition evidence credible and reliable, noting that the prosecution had proven the charge beyond reasonable doubt.
The court also found the man guilty of breaching a condition not to re-offend under a 2024 bail undertaking. However, he was acquitted of the second breach charge after the prosecution failed to prove that a similar non-reoffending condition was explicitly included in a separate 2022 bail agreement.
