DAYALS Ba FC head coach Ravinesh Kumar praised his players for giving their all after Ba booked its place in the 2026 Extra Battle of the Giants final with a 2-1 win over Global Care Suva FC at 4R Stadium at Govind Park in Ba yesterday.
“Our players did well and Suva gave us a good game, boys played well in the second half, they gave their all and I’m proud of them,” Kumar said.
However, Ba will be without the services of midfielder Nabil Begg in today’s final after he was shown a red card for foul play during yesterday’s semi-final.
Ba started strongly against Suva, applying pressure across the field while defending well to keep the visitors at bay.
The pressure paid off in the 23rd minute when Etonia Dogalau scored to give Ba a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Both sides lifted the momentum after the break, with Ba extending its lead through Begg in the 53rd minute.
Suva responded with a goal from Malakai Lavacake as it fought to get back into the contest.
Ba held on during the closing stages to secure the win and a place in today’s final.
Suva coach Pita Rabo acknowledged the support of the Suva fans and the team’s major sponsor, saying his players gave their all.
Today’s final kicks off at 3pm.
