A bench warrant was issued for a drug accused in the case involving the 4.1 tonnes of methamphetamine seized in Nadi last year.
Sakiusa Tuva failed to appear when the case was called before Justice Aruna Aluthge at the High Court in Lautoka on Monday.
According to his lawyer, Mr Tuva had not been responding to their numerous calls and messages.
Mr Tuva is charged alongside Justin Ho, David Heritage, Louie Logaivau, Ratu Aporosa Davelevu, Sakiusa Tuva, Jale Aukerea, Ratu Osea Levula, Cathy Tuirabe, Viliame Colowaliku and Keanie Lilo McPherson.
Meanwhile, deputy Director of Public Prosecutions John Rabuku also submitted the final report on the destruction of the meth at a private crematorium at Davuilevu, Nausori, earlier this year.
The report — containing images and a detailed account of the handling and destruction of the drugs between February 24 and February 28 — is part of the State’s evidence in a pre-trial hearing of the accused persons.
Mr Rabuku said for the substantive hearing, scheduled to be held from April 21 to May 23, final disclosures would be given to the defence later this week.
The case has been adjourned for a pretrial conference on April 15.
