CHRISTINE Parveena Ali believes young women who are open to new opportunities can lay the foundation for future success.
Represented by Guard Force, Ms Ali is one of 10 contestants vying for the title of Nadi International Airport Miss Bula 2026. She has maternal links to Vunitogoloa, Rakiraki.
Despite being briefly ill, Ms Ali remained committed and attended the remaining contestant engagements.
Ms Ali said she entered the competition to step out of her comfort zone and become a voice for women who may not be able to share what they are going through.
“My advocacy topic is the rising HIV cases among youths in Fiji,” she said.
Ms Ali is an aviation security officer based at Nadi International Airport and has already mapped out her plans if she is crowned Miss Bula 2026.
“I would like to inspire the people of Nadi to not step back but forward and to be courageous,” she said.
“I would inspire the little girls and young women to believe in themselves, trust the process and have faith in God, and there’s so many things that I would love to tell the public but first of all, they need to believe in themselves and step out of their comfort zone to achieve better opportunities.”
The crowning takes place today at 8pm.
