Lands Minister Filimoni Vosarogo says through the innovative Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) Survey technology, the ministry has identified underground water sources in remote areas.
He told the Bose ni Yasana o Ba last month this would ensure more villages and settlements can be provided with clean and reliable water.
The minister highlighted the department’s efforts towards addressing water security for communities outside the Water Authority of Fiji’s supply network.
“Through the innovative Airborne Electromagnetic Survey technology, the ministry is identifying underground water sources in remote areas to ensure more villages and settlements can access clean, reliable water,” he said.
Mr Vosarogo assured the people that the Government is working in partnership with the people, listening to their needs and driving reforms to safeguard land, natural resources and the well-being of future generations.
“This Government is here for the people.
“We hear your voices, your challenges, and your aspirations.
“The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources will continue to serve with dedication to ensure progress for our nation and prosperity for our children.”
