AIESEC, the largest youth-run organisation in the world held its Global Volunteer Information Seminar today at the University of the South Pacific where students were informed about opportunities for developing their skills and experiences abroad.

Since its inception two years ago in Fiji, the organisation had placed about seven participants for the trip and are looking for more active participants to apply.

The organisation involves itself in Sustainable Goal Development projects where students from around the world develop their skills and involve themselves in cultural exchanges with other volunteers.

Facilitator and Vice President OGV & GE Monish Prasad said there was no specific qualification needed for the application, however, applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 30 years and must complete their primary and secondary level education.

A participant said this was an important event that needed more exposure because of the amazing opportunity offered to the youths in the country.

“I am very much interested in addressing quality education for all children in Fiji and for youths. This is a great opportunity not only to achieve that but to experience other people’s culture and all,” the participant said.
