Fijians in United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region have been urged to “remain calm” and stay informed after tensions escalated between Israel and Iran.
The Fiji Embassy in Adu Dhabi said it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Suva and Fiji’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
The Fiji Mission at the UN is officially accredited to the State of Israel.
“The safety and well-being of our Fijian citizens across the region remain a top priority,” states the Fiji Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
“We will continue to provide important updates as and when necessary, through our various communication platforms.”
“We urge our Fijian community to remain calm, stay informed, and reach out to the Embassy should you have any concerns or require assistance during this period of heightened regional tensions.”
