A TEAM from the Criminal Investigations Department’s Serious Crime Division is investigating the death of Setariki Ravato, 19, at the Lautoka Hospital.
This has been confirmed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime Mesake Waqa.
“The team is gathering all the necessary documents and statements regarding the allegations of assault,” he said.
“A decision will be made after the investigation is completed.”
Earlier this month acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew confirmed a report was lodged on March 23 after Mr Ravato was admitted to Lautoka Hospital following his alleged assault a week prior to admission.
