“Change is part of life.” These are the words of Fiji Airways 7s Men’s head coach Osea Kolinisau on how members of the 7s side have been adapting to the selection of their new coach.
“The players have been adapting well over these past three weeks of camp, and they are all in high spirits for the Hong Kong 7s tournament which starts next weekend,” Kolinisau said after a training session at the High-Performance Unit gym in Suva.
The former 7s skipper and Olympics gold medallist said while he may be the new coach of the side, their goal had not changed.
“I told the boys that the goal is still the same, just because there’s a new coach doesn’t mean our goal has changed.
“And that is to win gold at the Olympics for the third time and I believe these boys have what it takes to achieve that.”
However, looking to Hong Kong, Kolinisau said he was excited about his first tournament with the side and is looking forward to seeing the boys showcase their skills next weekend.
“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity, and I am looking forward to Hong Kong because it will be my first tournament with the boys.”
