Olympics gold medallist Vatemo Ravouvou has been named in the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s squad for the upcoming Hong Kong 7s scheduled to take place next month.
Head coach Osea Kolinisau has gone for experience with Fiji looking for its first tournament win in the HSBC SVNS Series since Toulouse in 2022.
Manueli Maisamoa and Rubeni Kabu make their return after missing out on the past three tournaments.
Joji Nasova is expected to make his debut in national colours.
Kolinisau said the players showed competitiveness and determination in the last fortnight.
“Their competitiveness and determination in training are evident and they’re highly motivated,” the newly-appointed coach said.
“We’ve had rigorous training over the past two weeks to ensure the boys are primed for this crucial leg of the series.”
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Canada and France in Hong Kong which takes place from April 5-7.
