High court trial for accused

The case of a 24-year-old man who allegedly assaulted and robbed a Nadera businessman earlier last week was transferred to the High Court in Suva.

Etuwate Koroisau appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza in Nasinu.

Mr Koroisau is accused of robbing Ashneet Pande on March 19 and using a penknife to stab his right arm, right cheek and left chin.

The total value of items stolen was $716.

Mr Koroisau remains in remand until the case is called again on April 5.
