Fijian Parliament: UN peacekeeping school for Black Rock

THE Black Rock Military Camp in Nadi will soon feature a United Nations peacekeeping school.

This has been confirmed by the Minister for Defence and National Security , Inia Seruiratu in Parliament today.

Speaking on the 2019-2020 National Budget , he said the peacekeeping school was part of the BlackRock re-developement project funded by the Australian government.

“Fiji is still recognized as a key contributor to international peacekeeping and this reaffirms our leadership role on the region and supports our foreign policy goals,” Mr Seruiratu said.

Peacekeeping, he added has immense economic benefits to the nation through personal development for Fijian service men and women.
